Cousins Abe Golsh and Nejat Rahmani immigrated to the United States in the 1970’s in pursuit of what most people come to this country for – a better life. They settled in the Boston area, learned the language, worked odd job after odd job, paid their own way through college, graduated, and were ready for the next chapter.
Through years of connections and opportunities, they landed in the plastics industry and bought a small business in Brooklyn, NY that manufactured and sold un-printed plastic bags. They started with less than 1,200 square feet and one small machine. Not before long, they grew the business by knocking on doors and bringing in more customers. Less than 10 years later, they outgrew the small space in Brooklyn and moved to Oceanside, NY, where they expanded their services and began specializing in printed plastic packaging.
Eventually, they outgrew their second home in Oceanside and moved the operation to Hauppauge, NY, where they’ve been creating tailored plastic packaging solutions for customers across the country ever since. In 2015, Abe’s two sons Aharon and Elie joined the business, learned quickly and implemented processes that have kept the business modern, thriving, and in the family. 30 years later, Josh Packaging has transformed from a small shop in Brooklyn into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that continues to provide its customers with engineered packaging solutions and unparalleled customer service.
