What is EZ Stand?
EZ Stand is a perfect alternative to a stand up pouch. It is rollstock film that is converted into a stand up gusseted pouch (with or without a zipper) on your VFFS machines.
How Does it Work?
Josh Packaging applies a bottom gusset to every impression of your film, so after your film runs on your flow machines there will be a bottom gusset on every bag.
What modifications are required on your VFFS machine to run EZ stand?
You may need to invest in a new forming collar that has enough clearance for the pre-applied gusset to pass over.
How much of a capital investment is required?
If necessary, the investment is typically around $5,000-$10,000. However, it is worth noting that the new forming collar can also run “regular” non-EZ-stand film.
What is the benefit of EZ Stand?
It is a faster and cleaner automated filling process, as opposed to manually packing the product into your pouches, resulting a lower significantly lower labor cost.
